“Adventure is a path. Real adventure — self-determined, self-motivated, often risky — forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” ~ Mark Jenkins
Travel, whether it is a walk in our neighborhood or a lifelong journey around the world, changes us. Like ripples in the sand, shifting gently with each wave or changing greatly with each tide, every moment in travel affects our very being – sometimes gently, others times more intensively. This blog describes changes within me, as I journey and explore, across borders, state lines, and oceans. I will share adventures I’ve had and am planning, as well as information about travel in places I love to visit. Thanks for joining me on this journey of exploration of kindness, love, nature, and peoples around the world.
